Q. How can I enter the Tornado 2020

A. Entries open on 1st of January 2020 via the britih cycling website.

 Q. Can I take someone elses place or give my place to someone else?

A. Sorry places are non-transferable

 

 

 

 

Date: Sunday 26th April 2020 

 
Start Location: The Pavilion, Boxford Playingfields, Boxford, Suffolk, CO10 5PB

 Refreshments following ride - donations to local charity.
 
Details: 2 routes are available, a 40mile and 60 mile. The routes use predominantly quiet rural roads and travel through the beautiful rolling, tranquil Suffolk countryside.
 
The routes take in many picturesque Suffolk villages including Boxford, Kersey, Chelsworth and Woolpit. Each of the routes will be fully signposted.

Riders are reminded that this is a non-competitive event and riders participate entirely at their own risk. No responsibility can be attached to the organiser or club helpers.
  
It is essential that road laws and the highway code are followed at all times, in particular stop and warning signs. At all junctions always ensure it is safe to proceed.
 
The routes cross main roads in several places - do not take any risks at these points. You must ride respectfully and considerately to all road user. The route uses some minor roads which in places are in poor condition with holes, water and surface debris.

All participants under the age of 18 must have a consent form completed by their
parent/guardian. Parental consent forms are available for download here.
 Riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

We hope riders of all abilities and experience will take part, so please...  
 
 CALL OUT DIRECTIONS & HAZARDS EARLY & CLEARLY.
 BE PATIENT.
 OFFER ENCOURAGEMENT, ADVICE & SUPPORT WHEN APPROPRIATE.
 
Although direction signs have been put up at turn points, these may have been tampered with, so familiarise yourself with the route in advance and use the route map and directions you will be given to stay on course.
