Italy 2024
The 2024 edition of the trip to Italy will take place on Sunday 05 May to Sunday 12 May 2024 based at the Hotel Riz in Cesenatico.
The hotel have provided details of their basic costs for 2024 which are as follows:
• For the 7 nights Sunday to Sunday (05 - 12 May 2024), the basic room price per person is 525 Euros (- 5% discount on bookings before December 31) = 498,75 Euros
• The surcharge for a Classic double room as single use per week is €10,00 Euros
• The Surcharge for double room Superior with balcony as single use per week € 15,00
More recently refurbished and slightly more spacious accommodation is available at the adjacent Villa Riz. The additional costs involved are as follows:
• Room without Balcony € 13,00 per day
• Room Suite with Balcony € 20,00 per day
• Room Suite with 2 bedrooms € 30,00 per day
As usual, the package includes the following:
• half-board : breakfast, afternoon sport buffet, diner with drinks
• guided tours (3 different levels)
• Laundry for bike clothing
• Road assistance
• Spa Panorama Terrace
• Sun beds on the hotels private beach
In addition to the hotel costs, there is the cost of flights and airport transfers (both in the UK and Italy). The cost of flights have increased somewhat for 2024 but we should be able to secure return flights for about £120, if they are booked early. The flight details with easyJet from and to London Gatwick are as follows:
• Sunday 05 May 09:00 (EZY 8349)
• Sunday 12 May 12:50 (EZY 8350)
If you are interested in going to Italy in 2024, the only thing that you need to do right now is book the flight. The sooner you book, the cheaper the flights.
The four airport coach transfers are likely to work out at between £90-£100 per person. The Gatwick transfer will need to be paid for before we depart. The Bologna transfers will be add to your bill at the end of the holiday.
Bike hire (a carbon bike with a good specification) is likely to be 25-30 Euros per day which is payable on departure from the hotel.
In January 2024 a deposit of £150 will need to be paid by each person going on the trip. This deposit will be deducted from your final bill (allowing for the currency exchange) on departure from the hotel on 12 May 2024. The deposit will be fully refundable up until one month prior to departure. This arrangement provides the hotel with some certainty over numbers given the demand for rooms at this time of year.
